Specific objectives:
1
- Design, production and testing of biodegradable alloys from Mg-Ca-Zr, Mg-Ca-Y, Mg-Ca-Mn, Mg-Ca-Gd systems with applications in medical implantology;
- Employing 3 young researchers with full time (TUIASI, USAMV si INCDFT-IFT IAȘI);
- In vitro and in vivo biocompatibility testing in animal models for the classification of alloys used as biodegradable materials usable in medical implantology;
- Support the technological transfer of the results obtained at regional and national level to the economic and medical environment in Romania;
- Identifying an optimal, complex formula, made up of all six elements, as an ideal material for orthopedic implants.
Results
1
- Designing, obtaining and testing 4 classes of biodegradable materials: Mg-Ca-Zr, Mg-Ca-Y, Mg-Ca-Mn, Mg-Ca-Gd, with 5 different concentrations;
- Determination of microstructural, mechanical, electrochemical, in vitro and in vivo properties of biodegradable alloys;
- Identifying an optimal concentration with specific concentration for medical applications in orthopedics;
- Dissemination of results through participation in national and international conferences;
- Publication of at least 6 ISI / BDI scientific articles and 4 patent applications patent applications;
- Organization of internships with students, master students, PhD students at specialized companies;
- Organization of meetings with economic agents / partners for the preparation of technological transfer to industrial beneficiaries.
